These pohtos are all from the same canvas . They show only one project , what I have been doing for ten years and will comtinue in the future.

About ten years ago , I made a blank paint frame . From then on, I have been filling it with water once every day , and I will keep doing this . I have taken it with me to travel to many places . Wherever I was , it was always besides me ; Whatever I drank , it drank the same . Sometimes , the water came from rain and snow , lake , and sea … Water is the paintbrush and pigment , and also time and age. The relation between water and canvas is just like the relation between time and man. After the ten years , until today, totaling 3536 days , there are many spots appeared on the canvas, just like the starry sky . This coincidence gives me a poetic and romantic feel.

Since 2015, I have started to record this projekt on the calendar, clock in.The black font is the day I finished covering the water; the light gray font is the day l forgot or was not in the mood to cover it during some difficult times; the red font is some good days, such as the day my daughter was born last year. However, many years have passed, and I gradually realized that whether | cover it or not, the water molecules in the air will naturally complete this behavior. Even if l do nothing, this concept is still effective. And I am just a follower of this concept. The dark grey font starting in 2024 comes from someone who doesn’t care if he completes the act of covering water or not, but is just a companion and recorder of time.
